THE FBI VS. JOHN LENNON

The United States government's quest to make John Lennon go away back in the 1970's failed. It turned out that, John and Yoko were not being paranoid when they felt their phones were bugged and they were being followed. In fact..the United States government had been watching the couple and trying to figure out a way to have them deported.

Jon Wiener, who wrote the critically acclaimed book, "Come Together: John Lennon In His Time" which took a serious and in-depth look at the Lennons' fight to stay in the USA, worked for years, along with the ACLU, to get the FBI's secret files on the Lennons released under the Freedom of Information Act. They finally won the case and you can see some of what the government has been hiding in Wiener's latest Lennon book, "Gimme Some Truth: The John Lennon FBI Files."
