The Ticketmaster web site announced that because 60,000 tickets had sold out for the Tibet Freedom Concerts in just one day, 2,000 more tickets for each day of the weekend were going to be sold. Online ticket sales were being organized through the Tibet '98 official web site at tibet98.com

Tibetan Freedom organizers have additionally announced plans for a rally on the West Capitol Lawn at noon on June 15th, the National Day of Action for Tibet. The rally will feature appearances by Beastie Boy Adam Yauch, Sean Lennon and representatives from the Sierra Club, the AFL-CIO, the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives and others associated with the Tibetan movement.
