I love John sooo much. He's a legend. I have so many Beatle things, and I have his books "A Spaniard in the Works" and "In His Own Write." I have books on him and the other Beatles and I idolize him. If you want to chat, send me somethin'!

I am interested in the music that John Lennon has produced, both as a Beatle and in his solo years. It is clear that John Lennon has left his mark on our society. He proved to all of us that peace is as close as our minds can think it to be. I know very little about the actual man, as I was only five years old when he died, however, I am always seeking information about who he is and what he did to leave such a mark on today's world. I, like most people, think of one word when describing John Lennon, and that word is peace.
"Peace"

My first visit here and I love it. It feels like such a positive place. Keep up the good work. PEACE!

I just have to say that this is a very great web site and I am also happy that there really isn't any Beatles bashing on it (on some others I have visited, there has been). My best regards for the Ono-Lennon family. But, I hear so much about how John and Yoko's artwork is in London, or Florida, or California and I was wondering, is there any chance that their artwork will visit Toronto?
Rea M.
John and his music means a lot to me. I was born the day he was shot. My dream is to visit New York on December 8 and go to the Dakota at 10:50, the time when John was shot. He was a genius. Anyone who agrees, feel free to e-mail me. We all need to help keep his memory alive.
Jenni
John Lennon ROCKS! I hope that he rests in peace. Peace, strange to say that considering that he got shot. It isn't right. A man that promoted peace so much has to get gunned down by some guy for absolutely no reason at all. He said it was because of what Lennon was misquoted in saying about the Beatles are more popular than Jesus, but he said that many years earlier, and even then, that doesn't give you the right to just rip out a gun and shoot.
I met Yoko Ono in October up in New York, right outside of the Dakota. A couple of my friends, two of their parents and I went up to go to Strawberry Fields and see the Imagine shrine. As we were walking over, there she was. She gladly gave us a picture, which I have on a sweatshirt now. She was very nice to us, but as a crowd began to form, she went back to the Dakota. I guess you can't blame her considering that is how her husband died.
Getting to a new topic, I never heard Sean or Julian's music before, so I don't know if it is good or bad. I guess I will have to buy one of their cd's just to check it out. Well, that is about all that I have to say.
Bob Bechtel
Hey Yoko! I'm so happy your albums will be all re-released! I love you. I'm waiting anxiously too for a new Yoko / Ima album. And...sorry for the intromission, but, what about recording any jungle / techno track? Love and Peace for Yoko, Sean, John + Julian

Sean is the best next to John!!!
Tina
Hi, we are very ardent fans of the Lennons and have met Sean on several occasions. He is really sweet and receptive, not to mention talented! Yoko has been a big inspiration on our own band and we commend her for being able to be herself despite all of the criticism that she receives. We also saw "Hiroshima" and talked to Ron Destro, who's incredibly talented. We especially enjoy the various genres of music that Yoko and Sean have experimented with. It's great to see a mother and son such as themselves working and making music together.
Cibo Matto and Nibsmf
John is dead. "Let HIM be!" There'll be bigger and better out there. Just you wait and see. I have this feeling deep down inside of me that it will be a lot sooner than most think. Just some insight from someone on the inside.
The Fool
I think that John Lennon was one of my biggest influences growing up. Too bad I'll never get to tell him that.
Bill Missavage
I really enjoy your online mag. I have been a big John fan for about 25 years. I always admired his ability to attract attention to important causes. His music was so personal that it felt like sometimes he was writing for you. I guess that is what makes artists great. Thanks for the info on Sean, Yoko and Julian. It's fun to see what they have been up to.
Bob Beck
I love this family! They are the kind of family I like. I wish John had been my father or my husband. You guys are lucky.
Mia
Welcome back from vacation, Monitor!

(Thanks! )
When I met John, he looked like the best guy in the world. He's very good-looking and friendly. I love him. He used to say "there's no problems, only solutions" and when I remember those words, my troubles disappear. Well, maybe in last Beatles' years, sometimes they hate each other, but John (and this told me), in fact, he love them very much 'cos they were really friends. I'm going to say one thing, Yoko, "don't be sad, 'cos although John had died, he always will stay in your heart and Sean's heart." Don't forget, "GIVE PEACE A CHANCE" "AIN'T NOTHING IN THE WORLD LIKE OUR LOVE" John was really fell in love of you.

For our working class hero: we will always love your music and your ideology. For Yoko, well, it's hard to say. I just hope that you really read this. There will be no greater love than yours. For Sean, don't forget him, never.. and for Julian, I know that many people don't forgive you because you are who you are; never mind, your music is great and you are such a fortunate man. With love for the greatest family.
Alex (Alejandra "Alex" Garcia)
I'm doing a research paper on John Lennon's music and the meaning behind his various songs. I hope that I do his work justice. I've heard Julian sing and I think he carries on his father's tradition wonderfully!
Shireen Garcia
The music of John Lennon will never die. It has influenced myself as well as millions of others around the world. If Mark David Chapman ever gets out of prison --- Shoot someone in the back? What a coward. I hope he rots in hell.
Brandon Chillis
In the case that Yoko should read this, I just want you to know that you and John have had an enormous impact on my life. The two of you made me realize who I really am, and I will be eternally grateful to you for that. I'm only 14 and was not even born when John was shot, but I discovered him and the Beatles about 3 years ago and shortly following, I discovered Yoko. It was all completely by accident that I even began listening to the Beatles, and it was yet another accident when I turned on the TV and saw John and Yoko on Dick Cavett on VH1 Archives and began to realize what great people they were. But it was the greatest accident I ever had.

LOVE TO ALL OF YOU.

Hello!!!! All I want to say is that..I LOVE YOU!! Specially John! He's the ONE you know. I'm so fascinated about Yoko. I think that he really must have loved you (Yoko)! Well, goodbye.
Sarah Elin
I've grown up with the Beatles music and always loved them. John Lennon was a truly amazing person and I still feel such grief over his death. Love you John.

It was wonderful to stumble upon this site and find people who love Yoko as much as I do! Ilove John and Sean, too, but Yoko's the one who always seems to be maligned. It's inspiring to know of all her comrades out there.

Kristel is doing a research paper on John, so we hopped on the net for some material. The interviews with Elliot Mintz are a great help. Thanks. One thing I might suggest is a little bit more about John, to balance out the weighty amount of information on Yoko. Have a nice day!

(Editor's Note: Glad you found some useful info here. Regarding your suggestion, we are in the process of creating the site, so we're going first with the most readily accessible material in our back files. Naturally, because Yoko has been so active since we began IK in 1981, we have loads of material about her and about Sean. We will, of course, be adding a lot more about John as we roll along.)
John and Yoko have been my role models and my inspirations for years. I'm only 14 and was not even born when John died, but I discovered he and Yoko about 3 years ago and ever since,my life has been different. I can't explain it, but somehow they managed to change my perspective on so many different things. The world was greatly deprived on December 8, 1980, but although John may be gone physically, his presence will always be here with us. And thank God we were graced with him to begin with. And I'd just like to say that I love Yoko, Sean and Julian. Hope you're all doing well. And Julian, you did a great job with "Cole's Song" that you did for "Mr. Holland's Opus" soundtrack. You sound amazing! Please tell me where I can find more of your music and Sean's!

John Ono Lennon is my mentor and hero. He was one of the most brilliant people ever to walk this earth. Without Yoko, John would not have become the man he became. Yoko helped in creating a genius. I thank the 'Gods' that they met.

It's great that people get together to express each other's feelings about John Lennon's music and what he stands for. I really feel that John Lennon was one of the best leaders of this generation. His music and actions were tremendous. Keep up the great work!
John A. Sanchez
I'd just like to take a moment to say Happy Anniversary to Yoko -- I'm sure this is a day that brings deep feelings to the surface. I hope you are remembering the good things that came from your marriage. You and John were a great team!

To John, Yoko, Sean, Julian and every other fan who misses this energy as much as I do: I can't imagine my life without the hope and happiness this music brought to me. I listen to the hateful lyrics that filter out as our rappers kill each other and I thank God for the light that John's music gave us all.
Lynn
I'm a Yoko Ono fan. I just love her! I love John and Sean, too, but frankly, don't think Julian's world is that good..(sorry).

In December, 1995, I was fortunate enough to visit New York City. Coming from Australia, this is a big thing. I have been a Beatle fan since I was 10, therefore, when I was 17 and able to do my Beatle pilgrimage to places around the world such as Liverpool, St. John (Abbey Road), and the Dakota Building in New York, I was stoked.
On my second day by myself in New York, I decided to take a walk from my hotel (The Hotel Pennsylvania) to Central Park to find the 59th Bridge Street and the Dakota. At around 11AM I reached the Dakota where I stood outside and thought, this is where one of my four heroes lived. Suddenly the front door opened and out walked a man and a short Asian woman. I looked at them and thought the small Asian woman was YOKO. However, I decided that was impossible. The couple started walking down the street - the doorman told me, "Mate that was her". I looked at him and mouthed, "YOKO ONO" to which he nodded.
I was going to run after her but decided not to. This may seem strange so I will explain. Walking down the street was a person I have a great amount of love and respect for, and I respect her enough to realize that she had a right to walk down the street and not get harassed by crazed fans such as myself. However, the doorman told me, "Go talk to her, she won't mind."
So, after a moment's indecision, I piss-bolted after her and then I talked and got a photo with one of the nicest people I have ever met. Without thinking I said, "Thankyou, you have made a difference." And I meant it because I know there is at least one teenager in the world today who believes "All You Need is Love."

Does anyone know how I can get a copy of the Playboy interviews with John and Yoko and David Sheff?
Nick Tovo
(Editor's Note: The Playboy Interviews was published in book form in 1981 by Playboy Press. A Division of PEI Books, Inc. ISBN: 0-87223-705-2. The Sheff discussions with John and Yoko were also released on vinyl disc called "Heart Play: Unfinished Dialogue-A Spoken Word Documentary" on Polygram Records in 1983.)
Cool!

Yoko, Sean and IMA's "Rising" CD is excellent. Should also check out Sean's amazing guitar playing abilities in Franklin Summer on "Rising Mixes" CD. Yoko adds a lot of meaning to the music without saying a word. I rate them a BIG 10. I hope you support Yoko and IMA's career by purchasing "Rising" to show them and the world how truly talented and meaningful they are to us and the world. Thanx IK for enlightening me and giving me great info.

Good webpage. I'm glad you have some information about Sean on your website. I hope you finish Part 2 of his history because it feels like I've been waiting FOREVER! I do think he's pretty cute and I wish him best of luck in his shows in NYC, especially with his mother. I guess Yoko isn't all that bad anymore.

It's nice, but I think it should be longer with more interviews. I would like to read the Newsweek interview from 29 September 1980 and the Esquire Magazine of October 1980.

I love John Lennon so much. Even though I was not even born when he got shot, I still feel as though I was there when the Beatles were still together. John Lennon will live on FOREVER!! So will the Beatles. Give Peace a Chance. For John. This is what he wants. Power to the people!

I have truly enjoyed my first visit here. I did not deal with John's death at the time and now with the recent loss of my Mother, I find his loss especially fresh. There is in my area, scant information on John and this magazine has been very helpful. I'm looking forward to reading it in the future. Thanks.

Will the message of John Lennon live forever? I'm sure it will. Through his music, his words, I feel as if he is still alive today, even if just in spirit. If you can hear me John, "Thank you." And Yoko -- thank you for letting us hear "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love". Beatles forever! Thank you IK! for helping to preserve the memories of John. May we all "Give Peace a Chance." E-mail me with comments.

Hey Man! John's the best, man! He rocks! His lyrics would knock anyone and everyone on their butt. Drop me a line if you feel the same way.
Mike Bootland
John was the greatest singer of all times. He and his music changed the musical world. We really love you.
Ricardo Lopez
John was the greatest thinker of the 20th Century. It will be sad to proceed into the 21st Century without him. I don't care about any stinking politician, inventor or any other important person. Who else ever said "All You Need Is Love" and "Give Peace a Chance" and in the process changed the world a few times?
The saddest thing is, John died supporting this philosophy and I still feel the U.S. government had him killed because he was the only person with enough balls to stand up to everything that is wrong with the world. Truth must hurt, huh? I miss John tremendously.
John's family should "come together", forget their differences and keep his legacy alive. It's not too late to "Give Peace A Chance" again.
P-And-L,
Keith Jones
