We need to find the terrorists living among us.
The fact
that individuals have the right to an opposing opinion, is what the terroists
hate. They are not interested in what your beliefs are the only thing that
matters to them is that it differs wiht thier own. So in thier opinion you must
be silenced ,converted ,or destroyed.
Yoko
Ono should be sending her peace message to the middle east, America knows all
about peace.
We have found the enemy and they is us we
are the terrorists living among ourselves.
The big step would be to give the
Palestinians their own country. Israel should remember that they were not a
country until 1947(?) when we basically kicked the Palestinians off their own
land and gave it to Israel. Time for them to recognize the Palestinians as a
people and a country.
GIVE PEACE A CHANCE
Yoko sends her peace message to everyone
everywhere.
Violence begets violence. GPAC!!!
It's a shame war
so america...i'm English and when i saw the
appaling atrocities unfold before my eyes i-like everyone else on the planet was
stunned-but i had this deep-down feeling that something had to give, and if you
can put the obvious media/propoganda that has been rammed down all of our
throats aside for just one minute and ask yourself-the real self-the one you go
to sleep with ,and be honest with yourself,i think that you'll find that at the
end of the day America as a nation has bullied and stamped on smaller less
powerful nations for decades and it was America that armed this bastard in the
first place, please dont get me wrong i aint no far left activist im just a
normal lad from manchester ,and i in no-way condone the actions of
terrorists-but americans need to get a good grip on what terrorism actually
is.....i have lost two freinds to terrorists-killed innocently whilst simply
going out to the city centre to go shopping on a saturday afternoon.....the IRA
had planted a bomb and hundreds of people were hurt and it isnt the first time
either we in England have lived with terrorism for years...real terrorism...but
the main source of funding for the IRA comes from americans who's
second-cousins-freinds-brother once knew someone who was irish and watched that
blockbuster film about how the IRA suffer under the English and harp back to
their 'irish' roots when they've never even been to the place-THESE PEOPLE ARE
TERRORISTS but yet year after year money is sent from America to fund 'the
cause'....when president Bush talks of a 'war against terroism'-does he include
the IRA in this?-i think not as there are too many so called-irish/americans who
vote and he does'nt want to upset the apple cart....strangely enough the IRA
have kaept a reasonably low-profile since the atricities of sept 11 and even had
the audacity to offer condolences to the families affected ......TALK OF HARD
FACED!!...i wish America would open their eyes and see that these paople are
simply gangsters who have bombed mainland Britain for thirty years-hundreds/ney
thousands of people have died or lives have been destroyed by these terrorists
but yet America continues to fund these people-anything at arms length-and here
again we have America and England beggining a campaign that in our so called
democracy has'nt even been passed through parliment-so we find ourselves
involved in a war where we have no say whatsoever in....ask yourselves this
question-do you really want to be involved in a 'war'-when the other side are
not even affluent enough to provide the basic means of survival??....its like
putting a 3 month old baby in a ring with mike Tyson ....and that is'nt a far
fetched that is exactly what it is like......i understand America's frustration
at the events as every person in England feels the same frustration when we hear
of another family who have lost a family member innocently....but there are
better ways of dealing with terrorists than simply sending a load of cruise
missiles then sitting back with your tv dinner and watching our'war'.....if
England bombed belfast would America be in support of us??....i think
not....please try and balance the events on a global scale and draw a balanced
conclusion rather than following the words of a madman-and i'm not talking about
bin-ladin-im talking about your leader..........lee griffiths uk
War against terrorism is like petrol
against fire!
DuBord and Baudrillard knew
I don't think we should bomb. I
also don't think we should try and reconstruct Afghanistan's government. What
ever happened to "By the people for the people" That's what those
people want. They should just leave us alone, and hopefully we can do the same!
Marvin Cotton, 19 Miami, FL marvercrombie@excite.com
Terrorism will be there till the time the
human race does not learn to be satisfied.
I am from
sweden and a love y but a dont like it ider but ma spelling is not okay
To the
commenter who said 'that's what those people want' ... bull! The Taliban are a
rich, bully minority keeping the Afghan people -- especially women -- in the
slave mode. There ARE times when violence is necessary to make way for peace.
Peace will
not come until we all want it.
You have to
work toward making peace as hard as you have to work towards making war.
they are
going to destroy all of us that is there plan. so why should we be soft on them?
Hit them where it hurts. or else yours and mine and every one elses freedom will
be lost forever.
The layers
of issues and concerns stack high, run deep but from one perspective,
increasingly the conflicts and ongoings of the world seem to be driven by
economic concerns sadly. They are killing people. Everyone.
My seven year old suggested
dropping shipments of bubble gum to the Taliban. He said, "They'll blow
bubbles, get them stuck in their beards, and have to cut them off. Then they'll
go to their own jail!"
The mind of man is
magnificent. Whatever he dwells on, he makes more of. If you want to create more
peace, you have to give it more thought and action. Only more peace creates more
peace.
Personally I'm afraid to be
living in a world where there are people who kill people who kill people without
seeing what's wrong with it. Don't ever speak of war as something that has got
to be done, because then people will keep dying in vain, forever, and that's
really dumb.
one man's collateral damage
is another's terrorism
what goes around, comes
around!...you better believe it...
Um, no, you just don't do
things like that
While I don't believe in
that violence solves anything, there does come atime when u have to defend
yourself & this is one of those times. It will NOT rid the woeld of
terrorism, BUT, it will show terrorists that America will NOT let anyone get
away with attacking us. We r all different & we don'tall think the same,
when we all realise this, maybe, just maybe while this Earth is here we will be
able to learn to tolerate each other better and minimize violence.
As John said "violence
begets violence". I'd rather we solve this problem with terrorism in some
matter that won't provoke more terrorism
Bombing an impoverished
country while refusing to present evidence as to who the culprits of the 09/11
tragedies are is in itself terrorism.
It's understandable that
the USA wants to bring the terrorists to justice. I'm 100% behind that. But
bombing a whole country to try to get to the terrorists seems crazy. There are
Bin Laden trained terrorists in several countries, including the USA...and we
certainly aren't going to bomb ourselves. Or England. Or Germany. Or Canada. We
need to use intelligence to find these people..not bombs.
we need an amnesty on terrorism, not
reckless killing - whatever the crime.
the world is governed by the
international, military, industrial complex which knows no boundaries and is based
on dinosaur mentality greed. Perhaps September 11th will ingender the
realization that we are all one people traveling through space on this blue
spacecraft earth and will bring the awareness that mankind should focus its
entire attention on saving our home planet and living in brotherhood, The
politicalization brought by messengers of that which is ineffable, lead to
"holy wars"...from Canaan to Christianity, to the situation that still
exists in Ireland and Palestine. Bombing will not obliterate the threat of
terrorism, nor abolish it, There are cells existant through the world. We must
find the crazed fanatics and teach their devotees to change their consciousness
and realize that all men are one,,,, Dona Sadock
War is
always war there are not good or bad bombs!a bomb is a bomb, and a child that
die for a war is always a life that someone has stole ...make love not
war!!!-none-
ALL YOU NEED
IS LOVE!!!-N-
Regardless
of all the silly comments about peace and love and all that mush that John and
Yoko held dear in their early days... Yoko Ono has established the REALITY on
her marvelous new album Blueprint for a Sunrise. I agree one hundred percent
with her analysis: It's Time For Action! THERE'S NO OPTION Get a life! Stay
Alive! Everyday In every way... Bin Laden would just assume kill all of you
silly people who just remain in serious denial about what needs to be done NOW!
As my spiritual guru Yoko expressed in her album It's Alright, WAKE UP.
protect one
another
You cant
fight hate with hate. We are not after Afghanistan, we are after terrorism, so
bombing Afghanistan will not help to end terrorism.
I think we
have to go and defend ourselves and the reason we did it was because the people
there were trying to cover for them/him. As a Christian I am torn because of
lives being lost but even in the Bible it says there is a time for love and a
time for war. This helped me alot!!!
Life is a
game. Let us not be scared of playing it, because some other people feel that
they are losing their game and do not want us to play.
John
Lennonīs songs are more relevant now than they ever were.
Money should
be spent in education to both partys, muslims and the western culture, to put
those different parts of the world near each other, by inform people how things
work, instead of spend them in bombs and building up anger. Those who call
themselfs leaders of the so called better part of the world (USA, Britian and
others) should put their thoughts into something more possitive, because you
only get more violence out of violence. "This is not here"æ
Violence is NEVER the answer.
not a fair ?
Hope, hope, hope for peace. Who has seen the
wind? I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round
energy & money should be spent in
signing a real strong peace agreement between Palestinians and Israelians.
Bombing shows we will respond an not
continue to be sitting targets AND perhaps rid the world of a few terrorists and
their machinations for making war.
