This is the two-book collection - "In His Own Write" and "A Spaniard in the Works."

Skywriting by Word of Mouth -

Skywriting was written by John Lennon during Yoko Ono's pregnancy with their son, Sean.  John had planned to publish the work, but was killed before that plan came to fruition.

This collection includes "The Ballad of John and Yoko" which begins "I'd always had a fantasy about a woman who would be a beautiful, intelligent, dark-haired, high-cheek-boned, free-spirited artist (a la Juliette Greco). My soul mate."

ai: Japan Through John Lennon's Eyes -
Published 1990 by Shogakukan Inc.

John Lennon was teaching himself the Japanese language during the late 70's.  True to form, he used his creativity to help remember words by sketching little storylines to match the word or phrase...such as, a tortoise and a hare to illustrate the words "slow" and "fast"; a man with noodles hanging out of his mouth for "You should not talk while eating!"  This book is a delightful collection of these phrases and drawings.

This book is no longer in print and was not available from the major online booksellers that we checked.

(Because the book cover is mostly white, we put a border around it so it would show up on our page)
