The spiral staircase leads up
to what will certainly come to
be known as The Song Sanctuary -
with its hushed atmosphere and
silent writings on the wall
of songs that spoke to a generation
and continue to speak to young people
who weren't born yet when John Lennon died.
Yoko was there.
So was Jann Wenner , Billy Preston
and the amazing Cyndi Lauper. It was a
party to end all parties, with John Lennon's
face emblazoned in the sky above us and
music filling the air around us.
