In 1986, Yoko embarked on an incredible journey..to spread the word of Peace
throughout the land. Unfortunately, many radio jocks, "journalists" and
others spread insults and bad reviews of her shows..before
she even arrived in the tour city. One noted example: A newspaper showed
a picture of a nearly empty concert hall, with the explanation that this was
Yoko's flop of a show. What they failed to mention was that the photo had
been taken during a rehearsal, without an audience!
Despite bad press that preceded her, what greeted her were warm smiles, flowers and fans who loved the shows.
We are currently working to make the STARPEACE story complete, but we wanted to share what we've extracted so far from Issue #26, printed over ten years ago.
