I am older now. In the past I struggled through the fight with John and Yoko. I miss the strength they had together that gave the people strength. It was a strength that pulled the people together to fight. The fight was for more then just peace, it was a fight for our civil rights. At that time people were murdered for fighting for their beliefs (OHIO STATE,for one) and I feel as though we've taken a giant step backwards.

New York is a terrible place to live now. The Mayor had denied the people again to have a sit in at Central Park for John saying he will not have a giant pot party in Central Park, what is that about? Do we let him put John Lennon's memory so low? We have given up so many of our rights, we are not free. I am so much for peace, I am a peaceful person, but I know things have gone too far. I've changed
over the years. I am willing to fight to get some of my rights back. The rights we fought for so hard back in the 70's.

Governments are instilling fear in the people all over the world. War makes them powerful, the american flag doesn't mean what it was meant to stand for anymore. The people who are flying the flag are mostly naive, they mean well but they don't see passed it to the truth. They're too busy living their lives trying to keep the material things they have now and forgetting the true meaning of life.

Yoko, can you see? I feel alone. Please tell me something that I can believe in. John knew that staying home with his son as a baby was the most important thing. He was a role model, he saw that the people were turning more and
more plastic. It is a sad world with out John Lennon and others like him. He was murdered, I believe that. The government could have never come this far if he was here and they knew that. Am I paranoid now? Maybe, I don't think it matters. I see how 911 blinded the Americans. We've gotten further and further apart instead of closer together. Shame on us for being so stupid.

It's a sad day everyday.

Crying in NY

Keep up the good work. The spirit of John is still strong in Liverpool.

To all these who shall see these presents greetings
It is never easy
but we are not free
by words spoken easily
I have been there brothers, when the dirt fell on me from above
and scared and scared
only my mother I was thinking of
I don't know what you were doin
while the maelstrom was brewin
but I did what I did to live
the Brits and the Marines
the army the the scene
was brutal in total
but we believed
and did what was right
givin our justification at night
and in the carnage
we played John and Yoko
and the Beatles
it was apparent
our errand was distant
but we did our beat
God forgive the rest
We still listen
to the music that soothes our souls
we did what we had to to do
sons of Doyle
we are still here.
God Bless America.

This is for John
I know you are gone
But your music lives on
You left your words & message behind
And we all know that peace is what you were
trying to find
Thank God You have it now

Thanks Yoko,

I just looked at this site for the first time.  I love you all.  I carried CD's with me and listened to John sing on the bus with me twice to Washington and once to New York City for three of the Peace marches this past year before the war began.  Then, I received this in the mail and decided to just be Peace.

http://www.peacechime.org/peacebreath/peacebreath.html

I still miss John very much, everyday and I think of him because I have a photo of him in his New York City t-shirt on my wall at home and a postcard of him standing under the Statue of Liberty giving a Peace sign and a postcard with him naked laying all curled up around you and you are all dressed in black.  I can imagine how you must miss him but he is still here, he is just on the other side watching and waiting for you.

His words echo in my mind endlessly.

Peace & Love,
Roseanne

Hello all,

I've tried so hard to let MY entire world realize what is going on here.

Please keep on informing the world as to what is taking place....

Peace....

Peace Mantra
music & lyrics by Ian Singleton

The people don't know, there's no peace from a war.

The people can't see...that their love is asleep.

-What can be gained by the suffering and pain,
-Can we make people change, with a gun to their brains?
-All the injustice, in someone else's name,
-To fight, hate, and kill is so truly insane.
-The people don't know there's no peace from a war,
-And the five-sided Visigoth calling for more.
-And the innocent children are crying in pain
-Demons laugh, Jesus wept, and the world's on it's knees....

The people don't know, there's no peace from a war.

The people can't see...that the world's on it's knees.

Peace. I just left your websight and can say that I am delighted with the whole Peace thing. Always have been. I am a surpressed single parent of 2
children who has always felt deeply about things that have to do with the fate of mankind. I get discouraged at times. The Iraq war and how the government keeps myself and my children under it's thumb because we are poor and need assistance brings me down. Then I go to a websight such as yours or The Self realization religion sights brings my spirits up again. I can make a difference is the thing that I must never lose sight of. Just wanted to write and let you know that I am giving it a chance Peace that is and instilling in my children who are so influenced by the world around them and the media garbage that Peace is the most important thing.

Love and Peace are it. And it is God.

Yours,

I love you John and Yoko

Your friend bound by the thread of Love,

Irene

Treat others the way you would want them to treat you. If you practice this for ten days you will see dramatic results for the better in your life.

Seekers of peace,

May you forever remain steadfast.
May you find your peace at last.
May you always feel some happiness.
May you remain true to your task.

May the hummingbird of ruby flowers
fly through your garden green.
May the freedom of the soaring condor
fall in your path unseen.

May the people seen as mongers
find a way to feel your thoughts.
May the thoughts you are projecting
will suffice for peace be bought.

Postscript

In the absence of shadows
there is now light
in the place where the towers
once stood

let us build a memorial
from stone, mortar and wood,
to remember their smiles;
and help bridge the miles

between hate
and the powers of love

I agree with everything John has tried to do. What good is war? What will war prove? John once said, "In the name of Martism or Christianity, of raising the city, I wanna know what you're gonna do after you know it all down ya know can't we use some of it what's the point of bombing wall street if you wanna change the system, change the system, it's no good shooting people."

If you keep that in mind and really pay attention to it you'll realize war is shooting people. So what good is that?

Imagine All the People Living Life In Peace! That's what John Lennon once sang and we all must do
our share to keep his theory and all Alive!

With war in Iraq, how do you think John would of felt when we went into war?

WAR IS OVER!

John and Yoko once sang WAR IS OVER IF YOU WANT IT! My Question is Why is war still going
on?  Why did we go into war with Iraq? Obviously people Want it. I just say we John Lennon fans must keep his faith and everything going to help him live on!

Sorry my Children

Hello Mr President, I hope you are well
I hope you are listening, Or we're going to hell

No time for eye for eye, No time on earth
No restitution can be gained for, Such incredible wealth

Hello the Peace generation, I hope you hear me today

Can you say your life has forgotten, What we believed in those days

Why do you say so few words, When the words can be free
Has the sand shifted so far now, You cant let it be

We're all sons of God, Muslims Christians and Jews

The people on the street corner, The message is for you

Understand
Just Understand
Nothing more than

Back to you Mr President, Do you understand why

Why the first time crusaders, Decided Muslims should die

Do you know Mr President, About the hatred of men

That the events unfolding, Can be traced back to then

Do you understand Mr Zimmerman, I'm sure that you do

Middle East and Israel, Means something to you

But your silence in areas not sacred, Screamed and demanded more

But understand that when there is no religion, I heard you denounce the war

Hello to my children, I'm sorry the leaders don't hear

I'm sad they've always been that way, Bloody battles and fear

We started this war a long time ago, And taught good men how to bleed

We started for power and glory, And now we're too weak to lead

Understand
Just Understand
Nothing more than

Peace. Greg Sale, Melbourne Australia

Open your eyes realise
what i dont disguise
knowledge from my head will arise
down from the depth of sea
through the deserts
over the sky
birds arouse
the instincts in me

as my head comes through
the incurable path of amazement
you whisper i do
as i face the one and only
he says you dont know
i say i only dont know
what you never told me
cry for me
tell me you care

two soldiers taking a picture with their kill
smiling proud with a cheap awful thrill
their kill is no dear nor it is a bear
mighty god once more abandoned
his son without care

why is this world so weird
always looking for weak soul to crumble
always looking for a weary storm to cradle
to understand im simply unable

i will crawl deep down to the deepest point
to a place where no one speaks
a place without all them freaks
hoping that then i stop hearing
those agonizing shrieks

A DREAM

His dream is over,
Though he just went to sleep;
Those of us still with our dreams,
A dream may we always seek.

Don't take away the years he lived,
To not hear his dreams his way;
He sought peace in all the world,
To live life every day.

This man had his Mind Games,
All of the time,
They played part to his success;
A mind for peace, he lived his fame;
As Starting Over,
He found who's Love was best.

So don't take away the years he sang,
To not hear his songs his way;
He sought peace in all the world,
To live life every day.

But now it is over to hear John speak,
Of stopping wars to live in peace;
So sing that song he had to sing,
And we may find his peace won't cease.

All he was singing, was give peace a chance!
